Obituary of Anjeannette M. Isaacson

Anjeannette M. Isaacson, the daughter of Otto J. Wetzel and Maud E. (Rhodebaugh) Wetzel, was born November 9, 1921 at Alma, NE and passed away on August 7, 2016 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS at the age of 94 years, 8 months, and 26 days.
Anjeannette moved to Scandia, KS in her early years, attending grade school and high school in Scandia later graduating from Scandia High School.
On June 23, 1940, she was united in marriage to Irving Robert Isaacson and to this union was born: Jeannette, Robert, James, and William. The couple made their home in Scandia, KS and he preceded her in death in 1955.
She was a nurse’s aide at Republic County Hospital for over 30 years and she also was an Avon representative for 30 years.
Anjeannette was a member of the Amana Lutheran Church, Scandia, KS where she was the first female council member. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Irving in 1955, one son, Bill in December of 2013; one sister, Wilhelmina; and two brothers; Lyle and Lloyd.
Anjeannette is survived by her children, Jeannette Kpissay of Salina, KS,
Robert (Bettie) Isaacson of Wichita, KS, and James (Pam) Isaacson of Scandia, KS;
10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Amama Lutheran Church, Scandia, KS with Pastor Thomas Kamprath, officiating.
Family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Riverview Cemetery.
The family will greet friends prior to the memorial services and immediately afterwards at the Church on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Amana Lutheran Church or the North Central Kansas Down Syndrome Society.
