Obituary of Harriet L. Boyles:


Harriet L. Boyles, daughter of Ivan Hatcher and Lola (Sloan) Hatcher was born May 19, 1927 at Bogue, Kansas and passed away on January 18, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 29 days.
She graduated in 1945 from Courtland High School and was the valedictorian of her class. She was united in marriage to Willard K. Boyles on April 19, 1947 and to this union two daughters were born, Merrill and Shirley.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Courtland, KS, United Methodist Women, Friendship Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Lola Hatcher, husband, Willard K. Boyles, two sisters, Margie and Artie, one infant sister, Mary Alice, one brother, Fred.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Dan) Sandell of Kearney, Nebraska, Merrill Lopez of Denver, Colorado, four grandchildren, Emily (Clair) Hoesing, Bobby Douglas, Kenny (Tessa) Sandell, Anne (Jimmy) Simms, six great grandchildren, Kayden, Brett, Castin, Ashlynn, Tucker, Riley, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held, Two PM, Monday, January 22, 2018, United Methodist Church, Courtland, KS, conducted by, Pastor Sondra Jellison-Knock and Pastor Kathy Aeillo.
Interment will be in Courtland Cemetery, Courtland, KS.
Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church, Courtland, KS.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS, where the family will receive friends from
5 PM to 7 PM.
