Obituary for June C. Malloy


June C. Malloy, the daughter of Lewis Grant Cormack and Margaret Campbell (Cruickshank) Cormack, was born September 27, 1937 at Aberdeen, Scotland and passed away on February 16, 2012 at the Elk Ridge Village, Elkhorn, NE at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 19 days.
She attended and graduated from Old Aberdeen Jr. Secondary and attended Webster’s College at Aberdeen. She immigrated to Canada in 1958 to Toronto, Canada until 1968 when she returned to Aberdeen. June worked at the Pirie Appleton & Company Papermill. In 1972, she met Tom Malloy and later was united in marriage on November 7, 1977. Their travels took them to Las Pamas-Canary Islands, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Louisiana, and then Hubbell, NE.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom Malloy in 2008, and a grandson Malcolm Watt.
June is survived by three sons: Stephen (Sylvie) Watt of Cornwall Ontario Canada, Michael (Paula) Watt of Waterville, KS, and Tommy Watt of Raymond, NE; one daughter: Becky (Donnie) Harrington of Ashland, NE; sister: Dorothy Cormack of Aberdeen, Scotland; six grandchildren: Christopher Watt, Stephanie Watt, Mikala Watt, Andrew Watt, Thomas Watt, and Nena Harrington, and three great grandchildren; other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Chester United Methodist Church, Chester, NE with Pastor Mark Baldwin, officiating.
Interment will be made at the Hubbell Cemetery, Hubbell, NE. The casket has been closed but friends may register from 1PM until 9PM on
Sunday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home , Belleville, KS. The family will receive friends from 5PM until 7PM on Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to Asera Care Hospice.
