Obituary of Malcolm L. Lahodny


Malcolm L. Lahodny, son of Joseph J. Lahodny and Matilda (Chermak) Lahodny was born March 13, 1923 at rural Cuba, Ks and passed away on May 2, 2014 at Belleville, Ks at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 19 days.
Malcolm attended Eureka School. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War Two. He was united marriage to Lorene M. Svoboda on July 30, 1950 and to this union two children were born, Susan and Robert. Mac farmed in the Farmington Township and worked at the elevators in Narka and Hubbell.
He was a member of the VFW, Belleville, Ks, Robert E. Gordon American Legion Post No. 133, Belleville, Ks, Republic County Czech Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. and Matilda Lahodny, wife, Lorene M. Lahodny, son in Law, Gary Kohl, two brothers, Robert and Alvin.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan Kohl of Cawker City, Ks, one son, Robert ( Pam) Lahodny of Belleville, Ks, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Ten AM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Ks, conducted by, Pastor Harvey Farnsworth.
Miltary graveside services by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
Interment will be in Tabor Cemetery, rural Munden, Ks.
Memorials may be given to Golden Bell Haven, Belleville, Ks or Narka Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 PM to 9 PM, Monday from 9 AM to 9 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Ks
