Obituary of Max F. Eggers:
Max Frank Eggers, son of Herman K. Eggers and Emelie (Greiner) Eggers was born February 21, 1927 at rural Republic County, Kansas and passed away on September 5, 2016 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 14 days.
He was baptized in 1927 by Pastor Wagner and confirmed on April 6, 1941 by Pastor Weltner. He graduated from Byron High School in 1944. He was united in marriage to Ruby Heitmann on November 29, 1952 and to this union three sons were born, Kim, Jon, Todd. He was a farmer and he was employed for 35 years at Byron Implement Company and the U.S Postal Services.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the church council. He served many years on the Byron Fire Department, served as Fire Chief. He was mayor of Byron, Nebraska for several terms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Eberhard, Paul, Walter, sister, Gertrude, brother in laws, Orvil Heitmann, Wilbur Kniep, W.C. Mason, sister in laws, Elda Heitmann, Mae Eggers, Lenora Eggers.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Eggers of Byron, Nebraska, Sons, Kim (Janet) Eggers of Superior, Nebraska, Jon (Erica) Eggers of Berthoud, Colorado, Todd (Patricia) Eggers of Temecula, California, six grandchildren, Bryan Eggers, Sergey Eggers, Joshua (Alex) Werner, Jeremiah (Brianna) Werner, Cody Werner, Tatiana Eggers, two great grandchildren, Kameron Werner, Travis Werner, brother, Kenneth (JoAnn) Eggers of Hebron, Nebraska, sister in laws, Leora Kniep, Alice Eggers, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Eleven AM, Friday, September 9, 2016, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron, Nebraska, conducted by, Pastor Breen M. Sipes.
Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Byron, Nebraska, Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, Nebraska, Asceracare Hospice or your favorite charity.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 1 PM to 9 PM, Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
