Obituary of Melanie B. Boman


Melanie Beth Boman, the daughter of Charles Ivan Boman and Edythe Lucille (Tallent) Boman, was born Feb. 19, 1954 at Columbus, NE and passed away on September 14, 2016 at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, KS at the age of 62 years, 6 months, and 25 days.
Melanie spent her early years in Columbus, NE and later lived in Clovis, NM where she attended high school. She later moved to Arizona where she graduated from high school.
Melanie served with the U. S. Air Force from Feb. 15, 1974 until her honorable discharge on August 27, 1975. She was stationed at Luke AFB, Arizona.
She then moved to Wichita, KS for a time and then later to Arizona and then the southern California area where she lived for several years. She worked for Title Companies until her retirement.
Melanie moved to Belleville, KS on Feb. 1, 2014.
She attended the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edythe, and brother, Reggie Boman.
Melanie is survived by one son, Matthew Boman of Barstow, CA, two brothers, Stephen Boman of Hermiston, Oregon and Ronald Boman of Palm Springs, CA; her father, Charles Boman of Lincoln, NE, other relatives, and friends.
Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.
Inurnment will be at the Belleville Cemetery also at a later date.
