Obituary of Opal I. Hoover

Opal Irene Hoover, daughter of Charles A. Andrews and Viola L. (Hicks) Andrews was born May 3, 1918 at Big Sandy, Montana and passed away on December 22, 2012 at Republic County Long Term Care, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 94 years, 7 months and 19 days.
She graduated from Cuba High School. She was united in marriage to Vernon L. Hoover on May 29, 1939 and to this union four daughters were born, Sandra, Janette, Verna Lee, Mona.
She is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Ks. Opal made and donated an Afghan for the Presbyterian Church baked steak supper for many years. She was a 50 plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vernon L. Hoover, one great grandchild, four brothers, two sisters.
She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Maughan and her husband Gary of Liberty, Mo, Janette Asch and her husband Kenneth of Belleville, Ks., Verna Lee Hayen and her husband Bernie of Manhattan, Ks, Mona Scott of LaFontaine, Indiana, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Thursday, Dec 27, 2012, Presbyterian Church, Cuba, Kansas, conducted by, Pastor Phil Goombi
Interment will be in Ida Cemetery, rural Munden, Ks
Graveside services by Ophel Chapter No. 115 Order of Eastern Star, Belleville, Ks.
Memorials may be given to Family Choice.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Dec 26, 2012 from 9 AM to 9 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Ks where the family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8:30 PM.
